The Library is Open

Dec. 5, 2021

Hello, my name is Lea Kapp, and I’m an aspiring author with too many ideas and not enough time to write them.  I write nerdy stuff:  mostly fantasy and sci-fi, with themes of eldritch horror and maybe even a little romance if I’m feeling saucy.  This website is my virtual library, free for the public, and the best (and currently only) place to peruse my collective works.

Presently, I’m working on my first full length novel: an eldritch fantasy, full of magic, intrigue, and the occasional philosophical debate.  I hope to finish it within a year, but I have certain financial obligations that might prevent this from happening, like paying for food and keeping a roof over my head.  As such, I’ve created this website as a dual means of both advertisement and fundraising.

To that end, I will be posting free short stories to this website, along with the occasional teaser from my novel.  I’ll be updating weekly as long as I can manage it, though I may take longer breaks between individual stories as I see fit.  I hope to add more features to this website as I go along, like email notifications, subscriptions for additional content, fan art submissions, and community discussion.

The first story is a teaser for my book:  the prologue, which is two "pages" long.  Page length is obviously arbitrary on the internet, but I'm currently aiming to keep them a semi-consistent word count, around a thousand words per post.  We'll see how I do with that and adjust if necessary.

I'm excited to take on this new adventure, and I hope you'll all consider donating to my Patreon.  Every little bit brings me closer to my goal of writing full time, and the closer I come, the more content I can create.

Stay tuned for news and future updates.
